Ranching for Resilience—A Field Day for Producers and Consumers

Learn how a Holistic approach to livestock grazing and ranch management is healthier for the land and the climate, and better for producers and consumers, too.

Morning Session for Livestock Producers, 8:30 am to 12:30 pm

The morning is tailored to livestock producers, agencies, and organizations.

Made possible in part by a Farm Fund Grant from the Bellingham Community Food Co-op.

The morning workshop is $37 per person; $17 for students and each additional person from the same family, farm, or organization.

Free Afternoon Session for Consumers, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm

The afternoon session is free for everyone. Learn about the benefits to you, the eater, and to the land, of grass-fed and grass-finished meat.  Meet yaks in person. Learn how the versatile yak can produce meat, fiber, milk and be a pack animal.

The afternoon session is free, but your RSVP will help us ensure we have enough space and materials. Thanks!

Field Day Location

Matheson Farms: Event to be held at the Matheson Farms Main/East Farm. Please note it is now at the Farm Stand location. This is 228 East Smith Road, Bellingham, WA 98226, ¼ mile east of Guide Meridian on East Smith Road. Take the driveway on the North side of the road. Look for the red farm stand shed and signs.
