Ranching for Resilience—A Field Day for Producers and Consumers

A part of the Savory Global Field Day Event

Learn how a Holistic approach to livestock grazing and ranch management is healthier for the land and the climate, and better for producers and consumers, too.

Please pre-register (morning producer session) or RSVP (afternoon consumer session) for one or both session so we can make sure to have materials and accommodations for you. Thank you.

Morning Session for Livestock Producers, 8:30 am to 12:30 pm

The morning is tailored to livestock producers, agencies, and organizations.

Presentations, panels, and a pasture walk by:

Roots of Resilience
Whatcom Conservation District
Bellingham Community Food Co-op
Northwest Ag Business Center
and others.

North Cascades Meat Producers Cooperative will bring their new mobile processing unit.

The morning workshop is $37 per person; $17 for students and each additional person from the same family, farm, or organization.

Free Afternoon Session for Consumers, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm

The afternoon session is free for everyone. Learn about the benefits to you, the eater, and to the land, of grass-fed and grass-finished meat. Tour the farm. Meet yaks in person. Learn how the versatile yak can produce meat, fiber, milk and be a pack animal.

The afternoon session is free, but your RSVP will help us ensure we have enough space and materials. Thanks!
